Something other than Christmas cards....

Above is a card I found made my someone else.  I love this butterfly set!  LOVE that there is a punch to punch out the butterfly!  I hate cutting!

Here is a card using the Upsy Daisy set!  I love this set, but always forget to get it out and use it!  Love these colors too!  Bermuda Bay is one of my favorite new In Colors!

Brooke is almost 8 months old!

Brooke loves the bathtub!  I still have to keep her in the infant tub because she is so wild, I am afraid she would tip over!  Check out her mohawk!  Her hair is growing longer and thicker!

Great Stamping Weekend!

A special thanks to all of my Stampin Up friends for a great weekend of stamping!  The Cannery Grill Christmas card event was a HUGE success.  We are talking about doing one for Sale-a-bration...which is in February and March.  I'll keep ya posted on that!

We had 40 people sign up for this years event!  Last year we had just 24!  We almost doubled in size!  Thank you to all who invited friends who have never stamped before or with our group!  We love to see new faces!

Sunday was a Christmas card buffet at Vicki's!  Vicki got LOTS of free stuff for hosting a fabulous party!  Thanks Vicki!!  Thanks to all who decided to come stamp with us and give up a couple hours of the beautiful weather!

Hate to color?

If you hate to color your stamped is a technique that will make you happy!  You stamp your image, punch either a square or circle in 1 3/8 and then in that punched out image, punch out a 1 1/4 or smaller.  Then color in that image.  Glue it in the middle of the larger 1 3/8 hole and there you go!  You only have a VERY small area to color!  It will make your Christmas cards go so much faster!

Shimmer Paint

Shimmer Paint
SHIMMER PAINT! These items are featured in the Holiday Mini Catalog, and come in 3 different shades - Champagne Mist, Platinum and Frost White.  These can be found on page 27 of the Holiday Mini catalog.

Champagne Mist is a very delicate bronze-ish shimmery paint.

Platinum is fairly opaque and is similar in appearance to the silver Encore ink. The shimmer paint is slightly more (ahem) shimmery...and doesn't take as long to dry as Encore.

Frost White is a shimmery white, not as opaque as platinum.

What can you do with them?

Stamp with them - simply shake the bottle, remove the cap, and then use a sponge dauber to pick up the paint from the inside of the cap, and apply directly to your stamps. You can do this on top of an already inked stamp as well, to add shimmer to your colored images. (Soft suede with the bronze shimmer paint is lovely.)

Paint with them - use a small brush to apply the shimmer paint directly to images or to the raised portions of your dry embossed images.

Create colored, shimmery paints - add a few drops of reinker to a few drops of frost white shimmer paint to create tinted shimmer paints, then stamp or paint with them as above!

Make all your card stock shimmery! - add a few drops of shimmer paint to some rubbing alcohol in a little spray bottle to create shimmer spray! (A bottle that mists is better than a bottle that squirts. How much to add? Just add a little and if it's not enough, add a little more!) Great for backgrounds and to add a subtle shine to your projects.

Autumn Days Wreath card

This card is made using the Autumn Days stamp set.  Its a beautiful wreath made out of one stamp stamped many times in different colors.  Also, that is my favorite ribbon!  I love the red with white polka dots!  I am thinking these would make great Thanksgiving cards, in different colors of course!  Wouldn't this card look awesome in purple?  I love ANYTHING in purple!

Build A Bear

The new Build a Bear set is awesome!  I love it!!  I have made a few birthday cards with this set and the people I have given them to LOVE it!  Its pretty fun to dress them up! This set is only available til order yours today!
